Gear

· Kites: Ozone Yakuza size 14 and 7.3, Ozone Cult 4.5. We have 3 sets of line length 30, 40 and 60m. This gives us the possibility to tune the kite size and line length to any wind conditions.

· Parawing: Beringer 8SC. This is the perfect tool for strong winds and low visibility. The sail is possible to reef down in size when needed.

· Pulks: Acapulka Dragonfly. A pulk that is special designed for kite trips. It is extremely stabile and strong to endure continuous sastrugi. Was used by Ronny on his trip in Antarctica January 2008.  We have Bergans frames to carry the pulks in rough terrain.

· Skis: G3, light and strong skis with good all round performance.

· Bindings and shoes: Dynafit of course.

· Tent: Hilleberg Keron 4GT. Big enough for three of us, Helge is too young to share tent with the rough bunch. He has his own little shelter.

· Stoves: MSR Whisperlite; makes conversation possible during cooking.

· Wool; We all wear wool of course, and most of what we chose is made by the Norwegian company Aclima, as it is superb quality and function, and still reasonably prized.

· Shell clothing; Helge wanted to use his Rab-suit, but 3 of us had no doubts when choosing the Klättermusen Freke shell pant, even if it weights more than one kilo. The best technical wear! We also brought some more Klättermusen stuff.

We will summarize our gear experiences when the tour is over.
